Haley Willer

By balancing education and life, Haley Willer has learned how to place her faith first.
As a counselor and attendee of Glacier Bible Camp, Willer has grown a deep love for the camp and its participants. Surrounded by a supportive community of fellow believers and guided by trusted mentors, she began to understand that her future would be grounded in her faith.
Glacier Bible Camp became a spiritual home as Willer returned year after year, not only as an attendee but also as a leader, taking on roles as a counselor and spiritual mentor for younger campers. The experience further deepened her faith and confirmed her passion for ministry. “I’ve had some really good experiences with youth pastors and all who have just kind of made me feel more comfortable with becoming a youth pastor,” she said.
Now, Willer is heading to Flathead Valley Community College to pursue a degree in child education, with plans to later attend a Christian college to gain further pastoral training and experience. Her long-term goal is to become a youth pastor, a dream that began with that unforgettable spiritual experience at Glacier Bible Camp. “When I was at camp, there was a really good sermon one night, and I felt God tell me to just follow that,” she recalled.
That calling led her to participate in Fine Arts, a program that allows students to showcase their talents in front of a panel of judges. “Our pastor at church came up to me and said, ‘You should do a short sermon,’” Willer recalled. Nervous, but willing to follow the nudge, she gave her first five-minute sermon. It turned out to be the first of many. The process of preparing for Fine Arts has taught Willer more than how to write and deliver a sermon—it’s helped her grow in confidence and in faith. “It’s definitely nerve-wracking,” she admitted, “but you pray about it, and get over it.” Prayer has been a constant in Willer’s life, especially as she navigates big decisions like where to go to school, what to study, and how to live her faith.
This sums up her approach to overcoming fear, uncertainty, and doubt.
